From Los Angeles, the drive down the coast to San Diego is just over 2 hours and well worth it. The gas lamp quarter, Coronado Island and San Diego Zoo are just a few of the attractions here. San Diego has a lovely relaxed feel about it. California as a state, generally feels relaxed. The ocean and sunshine being major contributing factors, but people’s relaxed attitudes make you feel welcome and unrushed.

 

Getting to California is easy, there are many daily direct flights to all of the major cities with a flight time of around 11.5 hours. California is 8 hours behind GMT and the weather is generally good all year round.An ESTA (Electronic Visa) is required to enter the USA which is easily obtainable online.
